Metropolitan police on Tuesday announced an arrest in the fatal shooting in Southeast last month of a Prince George’s County man.
William Faison, 21, was charged with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the killing of Jeffrey Yarnell Covington, 19, of Upper Marlboro.
Police said that on July 2 at about 1:30 am, officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of 46th Place in Southeast They located Covington suffering from a gunshot wound.
Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Mr. Faison, of Southeast, on Tuesday at about 3:45 p.m.
