All tolls should be incorporated into the price of our gasoline. To continue to pay toll-takers to slow down traffic and create more pensions is insane in this era of severe economic turmoil.

The proposed, drastic toll increases by Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are proof that such agencies are clueless about economic reality. In the long run, it is much more efficient to have the gas stations add the price of all tolls into the price of gasoline. Those taxes would be paid back to the states based upon their miles of bridges, tunnels and properly maintained roads. To continue on our current course defies any semblance of logic.
