Metropolitan Police said Saturday that a Prince George’s County man was found fatally shot in Southeast Friday night — the fifth homicide since Wednesday in the city.
Officers responded at about 8:10 p.m. to Stanton Road and Elvans Road in Southeast for the report of a shooting.
They found William Parker, 45, of the 1400 block of Elkwood Lane in Capitol Heights suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2700 block of Elvans Road.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The killing Friday comes after four other homicides were recorded, three of them in Southeast, in a 24-hour span Wednesday and Thursday.
• Police said officers were called to the 1300 block of Congress Street in Southeast at about 9:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of a shooting.
They found Raheem Jackson, 16, who lived on the block, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
•Officers responded to the 700 block of Yuma Street in Southeast at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a shooting.
Police said they found Joshua Ruffin, 20, of the 600 block of Condon Terrace in Southeast suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
They also found Reginald L. Williams Jr. of the 300 block of Adams Street in Northeast. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
•About two hours earlier on Wednesday, at roughly 9:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the rear of a residence in the 700 block of Quincy Street in Northwest.
They found Shonell Corriea, 22, of the same address suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
