OPINION:
While the Republican members of Congress are busy attempting to curtail the size of the federal government’s budget, the Democratic members apparently wish to continue spending us into oblivion (“GOP budget plan exceeds Obama savings by $4.8T,” Politics, Wednesday).
We can only hope that this nonsense ceases before we all lose our life savings should the dollar crash.
In view of the upcoming tax day on April 18, on behalf of the shrinking number of U.S. taxpayers, I dedicate the following famous quotation: “We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.”
