Metropolitan Police on Tuesday arrested a Northwest man in connection with a homicide last week.
Police arrested Anthony Speaks, 22, of Northwest, on a warrant charging him with murder two while armed for the April 6 killing of Shonell Corriea, 22, of the 700 block of Quincy Street Northwest.
Police responded to the report of a shooting and found Mr. Corriea in the rear of the Quincy Street address suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The killing was one of a spate of six killings in the District over five days last week.
