OPINION:
All of us are hyphenated Americans - French-American, British-American, Japanese-American, African-American - and immigration is part of our beginning, part of our growth.
Because of our Founding Fathers, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, we have evolved into the greatest, richest, freest society in the history of the world. I resent newcomers insisting that we change our customs, our laws, our way of life to accommodate their culture, their religion, their former way of life.
Come to America (legally) and enjoy our freedom, our liberty and share in our opportunities. Do not come here expecting or demanding that Americans conform to your ideals.
Threats of violence from newcomers or outsiders is intolerable and highly inadvisable.
