NEW YORK (AP) - The Metropolitan Opera and The Juilliard School will jointly produce Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride” next year. It will be their first co-production.

Met music director James Levine will conduct the performances at Juilliard’s Peter Jay Sharp Theater on Feb. 15, Feb. 17 and Feb. 20.

Stephen Wadsworth will direct, and current members and graduates of both the Met’s young artists program and Juilliard will sing.

The company made the announcement Monday.

Wadsworth also will direct a larger-scale production of “The Bartered Bride” at the Met in a later season.
