BALTIMORE (AP) — The former president of an elementary school parent-teacher association has been convicted of stealing more than $9,000 from the organization’s bank account for her own use.
Thirty-nine-year-old Stacie Price stepped down in April as president of the Johnnycake Elementary School PTA in Catonsville. She pleaded not guilty to one theft-scheme count and waived a jury trial Thursday in Baltimore County Circuit Court.
Judge John J. Nagle III found her guilty.
Court documents allege that Price “went to extraordinary lengths to conceal her crime,” including manipulating balances and removing transactions. She has been ordered to pay $9,697 in restitution to the PTA’s treasurer.
Price’s sentencing is set for Dec. 2.
