NEW YORK (AP) - In a story Nov. 17 about Medal of Honor winner Salvatore Giunta visiting “Late Show With David Letterman,” The Associated Press reported erroneously that Giunta was the first living medal recipient in nearly 40 years. During that period, the award has been presented a number of times to living recipients for heroic service in Vietnam.
