OPINION:
The world is in chaos while the powers that be smile as if nothing is wrong. Our deficit continues to grow, while our government pumps even more money into the self-inflicted wound of change that is destroying our republic. We see Europe falling from overspending and entitlements, yet we stay the course. Is our government more concerned with appeasing the world instead of listening to the people of this nation demanding a stop to the gross negligence brought upon us for their goal of global unity?
Many who came to these shores came to explore new possibilities of freedom never known before - without the government looking over their shoulders. Yet we have become lackadaisical in defending those principles entrusted to us by our forefathers. We have let government become its own entity. If nothing is done, we surely will fall in disgrace, watching our foundation dissolve away.
We the people watch our leaders mock America’s greatness as they defend the actions of those tyrants who wish to extinguish our freedom and individuality. Our government kneels humbly at their feet, promising the end of our way of life so others can benefit from our hard work.
Prices soar for the average man, and still our government officials increase their own pay without consulting those who elected them. A health care bill was shoved down our throats without our consent, with a threat of a penalty for noncompliance. Backroom deals have tarnished our credibility as a nation, and yet we stand silent, watching the powers that be play us like pieces on chessboard.
