PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Twenty rural South Dakota hospitals are getting a total of nearly $236,000 in grants for technology projects, from medication dispensing systems to digital fetal monitors.
Secretary of Health Doneen Hollingsworth announced the grants Friday. The money comes through the federal Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program.
Rural hospitals in South Dakota have been awarded more than $3.6 million through the program over the last decade.
