How did you get started in real estate? For as long as I can remember, I was always told I was a “people person” and was encouraged by my friends to become a Realtor. When I left the corporate world in 2004, I started looking into licensing classes and found one that started within a couple of weeks. That winter, I obtained my license.

Most memorable house: I recently helped a couple buy their first home. They brought flip charts to each home we visited to take notes and packed lunches in a cooler to eat between homes we visited. They were very meticulous and kept a tab of all the pages they had to sign and initial - even the settlement attorney thought that this was a first!

Worst experience buying or selling a house: I did not have the best experience when I was buying my own home. I wasn’t offered a home warranty and ended up having problems when the house flooded. Now that I am a Realtor, I always make sure to offer a home warranty.

Describe your personal dream house: I am lucky to have lived in my personal dream house in my homeland of Iran. My father designed the home, and we lived in it for about eight years. Nothing fancy, just a home with a large family room with a wood-burning fireplace, a beautiful backyard with a kidney-shaped pool and on a street where I made friends with all the neighbors.
