RALEIGH, N.C. | Marissa Coleman scored a career-high 42 points, and top-seeded Maryland survived a scare from fourth-seeded Vanderbilt 78-74 to advance to the Raleigh Region final.

The Terrapins will face No. 3 seed Louisvile, which beat Baylor 56-39.

The Terps trailed by as many as 18 in the first half, and with Kristi Toliver limited by foul trouble, Maryland turned to its other first team all-ACC senior.

Coleman, locked in a battle with Commodores guard Jennifer Risper on both ends of the court, responded with basket after basket. Coleman finished 15-for-27 and 10-for-11 from the free throw line.

The Commodores led the entire game until Toliver and forward Dee Liles executed a perfect pick-and-roll to give Maryland its first lead at 72-71 with 2:07 remaining in the second half. Vanderbilt tied the game 74-74 with a pair of free throws shortly after, but Coleman gave the Terps the lead for good with a jumper in the lane with 28 seconds to go.
