How did you get started in real estate? I worked with my husband, Frank, for 20 years in the tennis shop of the Bethesda Country Club. I wanted to work with people and loved real estate!
Licenses and designations: Licensed in the District and Maryland
Awards: Top 10 individual agents, 2008 (in my office); top 5 percent of residential Realtors nationwide
Greatest accomplishments: Personally, my greatest accomplishment is that I’m blessed to be married to my husband for 31 years and that my three children (Ben, Kyle and Morgan) are happy, healthy and local at the moment. Professionally, my greatest accomplishment was being listed as one of the top 10 individual agents for 2008 in my office.
Area of specialty: I have lived in Montgomery County all my life, so I know the area well. I tend to do the majority of my business in Potomac and Bethesda but will work anywhere.
Highest-priced home sold: $1,450,000
Most memorable house: A remodel that had a fabulous two-story addition for a private home office off the master bedroom through a closet door. It had a library on the second floor with a spiral staircase to the office, which had floor-to-ceiling windows all the way around and was set back in the woods. It was spectacular and received multiple offers the first weekend!
Worst experience buying or selling a house: The worst experience was recently. My seller had a 10-day delayed settlement. I was becoming concerned it might not settle. With all the new underwriting guidelines, the underwriters kept asking for new information from the buyers every day. Fortunately, my seller had a rent-back situation, so no one was left on the street, and we finally settled.
Pet: English cocker spaniel named Sadie
Last book: “The Cloak and Dagger Cook: A CIA Memoir” by Kay Shaw Nelson
Last movie: “The Blind Side” (A great movie!)
What kind of car do you drive? Nissan Maxima
Describe your personal dream house: A Colonial on a quiet cul-de-sac that backs to trees with a great room off the kitchen and a finished walk-out lower level with an exercise room
