Feel as if you’ve paid enough taxes? If so, several area restaurants are offering a tax break on meals today in honor of tax day. For example, Brabo, a new Belgian restaurant in Old Town Alexandria (1600 King St., 703/894-3440, www.BRABOrestaurant.com), is serving tax-free lunch and dinner today.

Among the lunch offerings: sandwiches such as roast beef, Havarti and horseradish mayonnaise served with Belgian frites. Among the dinner offerings: wild-mushroom foie-gras ravioli and smoked trout.

Not to be outdone, Zola (800 F St. NW, 202/654-0999, www.zoladc.com) is taking it a step further. Not only is the restaurant offering tax-free lunch and dinner, but guests who have yet to file their taxes can get a helping hand in the form of a supply of IRS tax forms, calculators, envelopes and No. 2 pencils.

Zola also will offer a cocktail special for the day - the “IRS raspberry,” also known as the “Bronx cheer.” It includes bourbon, fresh lime and raspberry-green-tea soda.

Happy tax day!
