How did you get started in real estate? I worked 20 years and 9 months for an international organization based in Washington. I held positions dealing with procurement, legal issues and database management. The question was what to do next? I always loved and admired the work of Realtors. I thought real estate combines a good mixture of knowledge as described above plus dealing with the public, being patient, courteous and ethical and all of that appealed to me.
How long with the current company? One year
Licenses and designation: Real estate sales in Maryland and Virginia; certified residential specialist
Associations: National Association of Realtors; Maryland Association of Realtors; Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR); Certified Residential Specialists National Association
Awards: GCAAR rookie of the year, 2006
Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Obtaining my CRS certification despite my busy schedule because I closed on 13 transactions all by myself.
What is your area of specialty? I worked mainly with immigrants from many nationalities speaking many different languages.
Highest-priced home sold: $668,000
Most memorable house: Honestly, I don’t have one. All of them are memorable because of the people involved.
Worst experience: I don’t have a “worst” experience, but the past three years have been very challenging for agents working with buyers.
Family: Single; a daughter and granddaughter
Education: Bachelor of science in business studies and computer technology, University of Maryland
Community affiliations/community service: I volunteer for Housing & Community Initiatives Inc., teaching first-time Maryland home buyers’ seminars; board member, South Village Homes in Montgomery Village

What is your personal dream house? A small, one-level ranch or perhaps a raised rambler near the water, with a deck overlooking the ocean.
