How did you get started in real estate? I started out thinking that real estate would be a great part-time way to supplement my income as I returned to graduate studies. I discovered quickly that I had a passion and love for the business and that I was consumed by the business and appreciation for history and architecture.

Highest-priced home sold: $3,900,000
Most memorable house: I sold a spacious contemporary in Great Falls, Va., which, in its previous configuration, was a prominent farm dating to the 1920s. This beautiful residence is situated on a winding private lane and is built on a 2-acre parcel. The sellers and purchasers were as rare and delightful as the property itself.
Worst experience: We represented the purchasers of a shell in Columbia Heights who had planned on renovating it into the home of their dreams. Little did we know that settlement would never occur. Undisclosed to us, the seller had been fighting for seven years to clear a $30,000 water lien. We were released from the contract and to everyone’s surprise found a home the next day they loved even more.
