Camden Yards has so much going for it. The warehouse in right. The two-tiered bullpens. The classic look.

There’s only one real problem with this place: the open-air press box.

Now, this isn’t just a sportswriter complaining. This is one of the best press boxes in baseball, situated low and right behind the plate. But there are no windows, and that’s a major problem when it rains.

Like it did before last night’s game. Wait, rain is the wrong word. It was a downpour. And that nearly left everyone’s laptops under water.

Fortunately, a mad scramble saved all the electronic equipment from frying. But a reporter can’t help but wonder whether retractable windows would be a wise investment.

BY THE NUMBERS
