The Nationals’ general manager was walking around yesterday with his Bluetooth cell phone headset in place, ready to talk to any opposing GM who rang.
Bowden’s skybox, usually bustling with activity, was empty through most of the game.
And a sign on the door to the Nationals’ offices declared no one is allowed except baseball operations and PR personnel until Aug. 1.
The next week could get really interesting.
