Jack Burden and “the Boss” — the protagonists of Robert Penn Warren’s Pulitzer-Prize winning 1946 novel, “All the King’s Men,” and two subsequent cinematic interpretations — are back. They’ll be blasting through Screen on the Green’s projector this evening during a free showing of Robert Rossen’s 1949 film, which won the Best Picture Oscar. The movie starts at sundown (about 8 p.m.), but the lawn on the Mall (between Fourth and Seventh streets Northwest) begins to fill as early as 5 p.m. 877/262-5866.
