Wyoming – Gray Wolf (maybe sometime soon) -

Wolf hunting remains controversial and Wyoming's gray wolf hunt was suspended in December after a federal judge restored endangered species protections, blocking local control efforts. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service reported that a minimum of 1,783 wolves in more than 300 packs roamed the six-state region at the end of last year. U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyoming, has since co-sponsored legislation to overrule the judge’s decision and return jurisdiction of wolves to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. GovTrack.us gives the bill a 4% chance of passing.
