Nevada – Mule Deer - Nevada offers some of the finest mule deer hunting in the nation. The mule deer population is on the rebound along with the chance to harvest a trophy buck. Nevada is 87% public lands, so access to big game animals is never a problem, but ranges can be rugged, with peaks rising above 10,000 feet. Mule deer populations occur on lands managed by the United States Forest Service (Spring Range), the Bureau of Land Management (Spring Range, McCullough Range, Highland Range, Bird Spring Range and Newberry Mountains) and to a limited extent, the National Park Service (Newberry Mountains).
