
LBJ's library was dedicated in 1971 and is located on the expansive Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park. The Park includes many historic landmarks, including Johnson's childhood home, his grandparents' log cabin settlement, the family cemetery, and the “Texas White House” which served as a hub of political activity when Johnson was in office. The Library houses 45 million pages of documents written by LBJ and his close associates and was built adjacent to the LBJ School of Public Affairs.

Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
