Hillary Rodham Clinton, current Democratic presidential candidate, former First Lady of the United States, US Senator from New York and US Secretary of State - Raised in a politically conservative home, Clinton campaigned for Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater in 1964. She also served as president of the Wellesley Young Republicans, but later supported of the presidential campaign of Democrat Eugene McCarthy.  She attended the 1968 Republican National Convention in Miami, but then left the Republican Party for good.
