Carter's sister Maria Ramirez was killed in the Sept. 11 attack in New York City. An American flag that was flying just south of the World Trade Center in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001 is making its way around the country and being stitched back together. The goal is to have the flag completed by this Sept. 11, in time for the 10th memorial. The finished flag will be on display at the official 9/11 Memorial in New York City. (Barbara L.
