Rylee Cupp, University of Akron's College Republican president welcomes students from area colleges and universities at the start of a Trump Victory voter registration training at the UA's Student Union in Akron, Ohio, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2019. The Republican National Committee and President Donald Trump's re-election campaign are rolling out an effort to register young voters and mobilize supporters on college campuses. The "Make Campus Great Again" initiative puts a college twist on their grassroots voter registration effort, offering dozens of participants free pizza and training, plus swag like campaign buttons and drink insulators to distribute. It started at four schools in Ohio last week. Organizers describe it as a national effort, with similar swing state trainings held or planned for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Denver and Michigan college Republicans.
