Built in 1959 and located in Eisenhower's hometown of Abilene, Kansas, this library-museum also includes his childhood home and final resting place. In addition to exploring Eisenhower's home, visitors have access to millions of pages of historical documents, hundreds of thousands of photographs, and thousands of artifacts from the president's lifetime and presidency. The public is encouraged to use the library for research purposes, every visiting researcher is offered assistance an archivist assigned to each individual in order to aid them in obtaining relevant holdings.
