ADVANCE FOR WEEKEND EDITIONS - In this April 4, 2016 photograph, protestors call for Mississippi Republican Gov. Phil Bryant to veto House Bill 1523, which they say is discriminatory against LGBT people, during a rally outside the Governor's Mansion in Jackson, Miss. The law would have allowed people to cite three specific beliefs to deny services to others: That marriage should only be between a man and a woman, that sex should only take place inside such a marriage and that a person's gender is determined at birth. U.S. District Judge Carlton Reeves' banned the law from taking effect in June. The issues attracted much attention making it a 2016 big story. (AP Photo/Rogelio V. Solis)
