Larry Rose, right, holds a mock gun while standing at the top of a replica of the stairs of a home as assistant Attorney General Meg Elam holds a string to show the potential path of the shot from the weapon during Noah Gaston's trial in Portland, Maine. Prosecutors went to great lengths by erecting the replica stairs to show jurors what happened in the pre-dawn darkness when Gaston killed his wife with a shotgun blast, saying he thought she was an intruder. On Friday, Nov, 22, jurors convicted Noah Gaston of murder. (Megan Gray/Portland Press Herald via AP)
