Lamb said Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, that he was barred from entering a Connecticut women's prison to resume a writing program after it was reinstated following an investigation that cleared him of wrongdoing. The writing program was suspended in July 2019 but reinstated in late August. Officials investigated complaints by two former participants who said they hadn't been paid as promised for their contributions to Lamb's third planned anthology of female prisoner writings. Lamb, of Mansfield, Conn., is known for the novel "She's Come Undone." (AP Photo/Mark Lennihan, File)
