State auditors on Thursday, June 21, 2018, faulted the University of California for not addressing sexual misconduct complaints on time and not disciplining faculty swiftly. They found some people accused of misconduct continued to sexually harass others after they were disciplined ineffectively. They also found the UC system is slower to discipline faculty than staff. UC President Janet Napolitano says the system accepts the audit report's recommendations and is working to improve. (AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes, File)
