
A train is derailed in Fort Worth, Texas, Wednesday, May 2, 2018. The derailment knocked out power and closed a major artery for rush-hour traffic. About 40 train cars were traveling north of downtown early Wednesday when the derailment occurred, causing about 25 cars to slide off the tracks. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
