Timothy Alan Roy who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, is sworn in as a new cadet at the NYPD Police Academy in the Queens borough of New York. Roy was one of 474 cadets to be sworn in during the ceremony. Roy's father was assigned to the NYPD's surface transit enforcement division and was working in Brooklyn courts when the terrorists flew two planes into the World Trade Center.
