FILE - In this Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 file photo, Oakland Raiders quarterback EJ Manuel (3) throws a pass as running back DeAndre Washington (33) helps against pressure from Dallas Cowboys safety Robert Blanton (36) during the first half of a preseason NFL football game in Arlington, Texas. The Raiders must reverse this slide without star quarterback Derek Carr, who broke a bone in his back in Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, 16-10 loss in Denver and is expected to miss between two and six weeks. That forces E.J. Manuel into the starting role and puts added pressure on the rest of the offense to get moving after struggling the past two weeks. (AP Photo/Ron Jenkins, File) **FILE**
