R&B singer and songwriter Andre Williams died Sunday at age 82. Williams co-wrote "Shake A Tail Feather." He moved as a young man from Alabama to Detroit, where he signed with Fortune Records and, later, with Motown Records. His early hits also included "Bacon Fat" and ''Jail Bait." Williams' manager and musical director, Kenn Goodman, said Monday, March 18, 2019, that Williams was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and that he was receiving hospice care at a Chicago nursing home. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
