Last year as a result of a domestic violence situation, her children ended up in DCF care. In September her husband committed suicide, which caused a tremendous financial hardship for her and her 2 children. The family has been living in a motel, paying $290 a week and struggling to survive. She walks at least 10 miles a day so she can get her 2 children to daycare and get to work. With a lot of hard work, she has regained custody of her children and CWAH paid the majority of the security deposit and first month rent ($1,200) to help her move into an apartment at Regency Properties.
