Tired of watching his mother struggle with untreated diabetes and high blood pressure, Cabriales resolved to do something. And so, at 27, he did what so many of his compatriots before him have done: He signed on to do farm labor in the United States. On Nov. 6, 2016, he, Jose Rangel Chavez, and four others were killed on their way back to Mexico when their bus hit a concrete support on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
