Assistant Sheriff Robin Limon said at a news conference late Saturday that Wednesday's "reported sniper assault was fabricated" by Angel Reinosa. The 21-year-old deputy told authorities he used a knife to damage his uniform shirt. He's been relieved of duties and will face a criminal investigation. He didn't explain his motive.
