In this Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 photo, Detroit Lions tight ends Eric Ebron (85) and Darren Fells (87) during NFL football training camp in Allen Park, Mich. Ebron, whose career has been slowed by injuries, is hurt again and the Lions are giving several candidates a chance to make the most of an opportunity to show what they can do early in training camp. Rookie Michael Roberts, a fifth-round pick from Toledo, fourth-year pro Darren Fells, a former Arizona Cardinal, seem to have the best chance to take advantage of extra snaps in practice. Ebron is relegated to watching practice while recovering from a hamstring injury. (AP Photo/Paul Sancya)
