A driver in a stolen car, who led officers on a high speed chase for more than two hours Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, from Cabazon to Los Angeles County and back to the Inland Empire, is restrained by California Highway Patrol officers. The chase ended on a 215 freeway overpass in San Bernardino where the man threatened to jump from an interstate bridge. A California Highway Patrol officer rushed the man, who was holding a long piece of metal, and pulled him off the guardrail. CHP used bean bag rounds against the unidentified man to subdue him. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
