Fashion house Emanuel Ungaro says that French designer Emanuel Ungaro has died at the age of 86. The house posted Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019 on Instagram that Ungaro “will remain in our memories as the Master of sensuality, of color and flamboyance." Ungaro has died on Saturday in Paris, according to French medias. Renowned for his use of vibrant colors, mixed prints and elegant draping, Ungaro founded the house that bears his name in 1965. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
