Baltimore police say Trotta, a teacher at a Catholic high school has been charged with engaging in sexual activity with a student. Trotta is a science teacher at Archbishop Curley High School. The school said in a statement posted on its website that she had been suspended. According to a statement of probably cause, Trotta began showing an interest in the male student last year. The document says Trotta would and the student would engage in sexual activity in her classroom during school hours. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
