Lawyers for a man convicted of killing Washington intern Chandra Levy have filed a motion detailing the reasons he should be granted a new trial. The 84-page motion filed publicly May 6, 2014, with a judge in Washington comes after months of hearings involving a potential problem with a key witness in the case of Ingmar Guandique. The motion, which had been expected, contends that during Guandique’s 2010 trial a key witness, Guandique’s one-time cellmate Armando Morales, lied. And Guandique’s lawyers say they weren’t given information that could have discredited Morales. (AP Photo/Washington Police Department, File)
