Kilgore, a former member of the radical 1970s group the Symbionese Liberation Army who was told recently he can no longer teach at the University of Illinois where he has worked since 2011, could see that decision reversed. Ilesanmi Adesida, provost at the Urbana-Champaign campus, said Monday, April 28, 2014, that he plans to appoint a committee to review the decision to no longer hire Kilgore. Kilgore was released from prison in 2011 after serving six years for his role in the killing of housewife Myrna Opsahl during a 1975 bank robbery in California.
