Philadelphia police officer Michael Long, an 11-year veteran of the force accused of dumping the dog in the park, was arrested Thursday, March 23, 2017, on animal cruelty and related misdemeanor charges, according to the PSPCA. Animal welfare officers took the dog to a shelter for medical care, and a Malvern, Pa., resident has since adopted the female pit bull mix and named the dog Cranberry. (Barbara Adams/PSPCA via AP)
