Around 200 people gathered at the Ledra Street crossing point to voice their opposition to it closing. The Cyprus government said it closed the Ledra Street crossing point along with three others to help with efforts to prevent the possible spread of a new COVID-19 virus either to the breakaway, Turkish Cypriot north or the internationally recognized, Greek Cypriot south.
