
ADVANCE FOR MONDAY, MAY 26 - In a May 5, 2014 photo, loyal customer Charmaine Winters purchases angel fish from Kev's Aquarium in Detroit. Kevin Johnson loves fish so much that he spent a life working with them. So when the owner of the aquarium supply shop where he’d worked for years announced a couple years ago that the store was closing for good, he was adrift. He offered to buy what was left in the old store and start his own. The owner sold him the fish, their tanks and the crickets and crumbs that feed them for $2,300. Hegseth joins veterans, generals to mark 80th anniversary of battle of Iwo Jima
A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
