Officials are celebrating the birth of the baby giraffe that was born Sept. 12, 2017 the first calf of the 4-year-old mother. She will remain with her mother in the giraffe barn for a few weeks until the calf is old enough to be introduced to other animals and go out in an open area of the zoo.
