In this Feb. 19, 2014 photo provided by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), 14-year-old elephant Sunder stands chained outside a poultry shed in Kolhapur in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. The Indian government had ordered the elephant returned to the wild after Paul McCartney highlighted the animal's plight during a 2012 trip to India. Instead, PETA said, a local politician took Sunder home and shackled him outside a poultry shed. (AP Photo/People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)
