A Renoir painting stolen from the Baltimore Museum of Art more than 60 years ago will return to public view later this month. The museum announced Tuesday that Pierre-Auguste Renoir's painting "On the Shore of the Seine" from about 1879 will be the centerpiece of a special exhibition March 30 through July 20. A handful of retired Marines – all in the late 90s or over 100 — joined Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Japan’s Prime Minister Takeru Ishida on Saturday to mark the anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of World War II in the Pacific that ended 80 years ago this week.
